The Little Gym
Company background The first The Little Gym was built in 1976 by Robin Wes. The Little Gym International, Inc. was incorporated in 1992 for the specific purpose of franchising this extraordinary concept. After a successful career in broadcasting, as an owner of Radio and TV stations, Robert Bingham, President and Chief Executive Officer, joined the Company in 1994 with a fresh and unique concept on how to build a franchising company. Rather than grow with franchising executives from other companies, he recognized the extraordinary backgrounds and experience of The Little Gym franchise owners themselves. His vision was to bring these people, bound by their common passion for The Little Gym business together as a team and have them help guide the company's future. A majority of The Little Gym Management Team have been The Little Gym Franchise Owners. These include Robert Hicks, Senior Vice President of Franchise Service and Support and owner of a The Little Gym in Massachusetts; Gerald Moore, Vice President of the Eastern Region and owner of three The Little Gyms in North Carolina and Tennessee; Richard Basch, Vice President of the Western Region and former owner of an Arizona The Little Gym; Greg Brungardt, Director of Training and former owner of an Oklahoma The Little Gym and Randy McCoy, Director of Curriculum and former The Little Gym owner in Washington. Rounding out the team is Michael Gragg, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer; Ruk Adams, Senior Vice President of Franchise Development and former owner of a Salt Lake City The Little Gym; Ronn Cordova, Vice President of Franchise Development and Heather Wheelock, Director of Training and former The Little Gym Gym Director in Indiana. But how do you get there? At The Little Gym, the success of each franchise owner is built on the same thoughtful principle that we utilize every day as we nurture the children entrusted to our care: Motor Skill Development made Fun builds Confidence that leads to a lifetime of Success.Owning a The Little Gym is fun. As you help children develop motor skills, they sparkle; and their parents see what a positive difference you and The Little Gym are making in their lives. Through our thorough training program, your confidence will grow, as will the success of your gym. It's that simple—we currently have over one hundred franchise owners who are proud—and happy—to live their dream everyday. top Ownership experience The Little Gym Franchise Owners come from very diverse backgrounds. A few were former attorneys who gave up their law practices to join The Little Gym Family. One was a doctor, a few were teachers, and some have had careers in sales and marketing. Many were successful business people who felt there was something missing in their lives. Financial success is important, but it isn't everything. The opportunity to work with kids and make a difference in their lives, to take off the business suits and replace them with polo shirts and tennis shoes, and to have fun while working hard are the factors that caused The Little Gym Franchise Owners to change their lives and perhaps, for the first time, be in control of their own destiny. top Ownership process The Little Gym owes its success and reputation to the collective wisdom of those involved in the continued development of our unique vision. To maintain this standard of excellence, The Little Gym practices great care and involvement in awarding new franchises. If you find that after reviewing the information in the Franchise Information Package you would like to continue the process, you need to fill out and return the Initial Qualification Summary, found in the package. The submission of the Initial Qualification Summary does not create any obligation on your part, but it does indicate to us that you are serious about investigating a franchise opportunity further. At this stage, the communication between you and The Little Gym International increases as we endeavor to answer your questions and, at the same time, get to know you. After the review of your Initial Qualification Summary, and many conversations with you, if we believe that you have potential to be a successful The Little Gym franchise owner, we will invite you to spend a day with us at The Little Gym corporate headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona. During this visit, you will observe classes at a local The Little Gym; meet the staff of The Little Gym International, Inc.; and meet with the Executive Team, who will ensure every question you may have is answered. Also, you will be interviewed by members of Senior Management, so that we may determine whether we would like to invite you to be a part of our franchise family. Finally, you will receive our Uniform Franchise Offering Circular and be asked to carefully review the information.
