Would you like to become a Primary Books Franchisee?
Primary Books offers a complete children's book service to schools, from auditing and supplying school libraries to organising and managing book events. These events will include story telling for children, discussions on authors and, most importantly, making available to children and parents the best quality children's books on the market. The company is dedicated to helping school teachers raise awareness of the importance of reading in schools in a way that is fun for children.


Franchisees are required to be hard working self motivated individuals who can give excellent customer service and who would be happy to communicate with staff and children in primary schools. Working hours can be term time only. Full training is provided by Primary Books, franchisees are encouraged to network regularly and the company provides experienced mentors to guide each new franchisee through the first years of their franchised business. A good level of computer literacy is essential.

What we do
  • One or two day book fair events
  • Storytelling tailored to the age of the children
  • Poetry readings with audience participation
  • Tailored book displays for parents' evenings and open days
  • Discussions lead on the childrens' favourite authors. We will supply information and interesting anecdotes
  • Displays of over 500 titles from at least 50 different publishers to give your children a wonderful book browsing/buying experience
